SRT. Connecting video.

Secure Reliable Transport – connecting video, broadcast and networked applications.

The Robotweax SRT project.

Robotweax SRT is an independently developed implementation of the established Secure Reliable Transport protocol — not a fork of the reference implementation. The portable C++20 library is available on GitHub under the MIT License. Version 0.2.3 targets the public SRT 1.5.7 API and supports Linux, macOS and Windows.

Version 0.2.3 is a pre-1.0 release with documented compatibility and qualification limits. It is neither a universal replacement for every libsrt deployment nor independently security-certified.

Understand SRT. Packet by packet.

Twelve illustrated explanations: from ARQ, FEC and latency to encryption, bonding, Stream ID and monitoring.

SRT explained in detail

One protocol. Many video applications.

SRT is an already available open-source transport protocol for low-latency live video and audio. It addresses challenges such as packet loss, jitter and changing network conditions, making it a foundation for video transport well beyond traditional broadcast workflows.

01

Low Latency

Low-delay video transport for live workflows. Latency can be configured to suit the connection and application.

02

Reliable Transport

Packet recovery and jitter handling help streams travel across changing network conditions.

03

Secure Networking

Encrypted transport over IP networks. Video formats and codecs remain independent of the transport protocol.

For the whole video streaming industry.

Broadcast & Live Production

Transport video from remote sources into production environments and connect locations.

Streaming Platforms & Cloud

Video ingest, forwarding and processing as part of distributed streaming infrastructure.

Connected Applications

Bring video where it is needed, including remote observation and analysis. Looking ahead, this can also support video links to robotics systems.

Experience developing SRT.

Robotweax builds on years of experience in video processing, networking and the development of Secure Reliable Transport. We combine that background with AI and automation to make video useful to applications, as well as transport it.
